This photograph of a dying flower seems to represent Daisy Miller very well as a person, even without the added significance of this flower's being a daisy. The excerpts from the text lead an onlooker to the conclusion that Daisy Miller, at certain points, seems unburdened by issues that surround her-- normally issues others have with her, in fact. At other times, however, Daisy seems affected by the harshness she receives just for being different than the social norm of those days. I see the dying daisy as what happens to Daisy throughout the story and finally takes toll by the end. I see this dying daisy as the representation for Daisy's inability to continue being so different without feeling affects.
Exterior similarities are that both the flower daisy and Daisy Miller are very pretty to look at.
